Terms of Service
Last updated: June 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Cofounnder(the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Cofounnder, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@cofounnder.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. What the Service is — and isn’t
Cofounnder provides a structured framework, prompts, and AI-assisted analysis to help you evaluate a potential co-founder relationship. It is a decision-support tool.
The Service does not provide legal, financial, investment, tax, or professional advice. Its outputs — including any Go / No-Go recommendation or Partnership Report — are informational aids, not professional judgements or guarantees of any outcome. You are solely responsible for your own decisions, including whether to enter into any partnership, agreement, or equity arrangement. We strongly recommend obtaining independent legal and financial advice before formalising a co-founder relationship.
4. AI-generated content
Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence to generate content. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific situation. You should review and exercise your own judgement before relying on it. See our Privacy Policy for how AI processing works.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
- Upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or that violates the rights or privacy of others;
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or entity;
- Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt the Service, its security, or its infrastructure;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or build a competing product from the Service;
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another user.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (“ Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, including sending it to our subprocessors as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to submit it.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Cofounnder and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Purchases and subscriptions
Cofounnderis currently free to use. If and when we introduce paid features or subscriptions, any purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play will be processed by those platforms and subject to their terms. Pricing, billing cycles, and renewal terms will be disclosed to you at the point of purchase. Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store’s policies, and you can manage or cancel any subscription through your app store account settings.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including Google/Firebase, Anthropic, Expo, and Mapbox). Your use of the Service may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for the practices of third parties.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its outputs will be accurate or lead to any particular result.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cofounnder and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business arising from or related to your use of the Service. To the extent we are found liable, our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cofounnderfrom any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party’s rights.
14. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting support@cofounnder.com. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
